Darren D. Driscoll

Webster County Attorney

Webster County Attorney, Darren D. DriscollDarren was appointed Webster County Attorney on February 20, 2018, was elected to serve a four year term on November 6, 2018, and was elected to serve a second 4-year term on November 8, 2022.  He is a 1995 graduate of Saint Edmond High School in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Iowa, Henry B. Tippie College of Business, in 1999 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Iowa, College of Law, in 2003.  Prior to becoming Webster County Attorney, Darren was a partner in the law firm of Johnson, Kramer, Mulholland, Cochrane, Driscoll & Cochrane, PLC in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where he had practiced law since his admission to the bar in 2003.  Darren is admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa and the Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.  Darren is a Past President of the Fort Dodge Public Library Foundation (Formerly W.H. Johnston Foundation) and a past Board Chair of the Brushy Creek Chapter of the American Red Cross.  In addition to his volunteer and civic activities, Darren was a founding team member, advisor and advocate for the Webster County Family Treatment Court and the Webster County Drug Treatment Court programs.   Darren has been recognized by the Iowa Supreme Court and the Iowa State Bar Association for providing pro bono legal services to the citizens of Webster County and surrounding communities.  In July of 2023, Darren was appointed by the Iowa Supreme Court to serve on the Iowa Board of Law Examiners, which oversees the administration of the Iowa State Bar Exam and reviews applications of attorneys seeking a license to practice law in the State of Iowa.  In 2023, Darren was elected Vice-President of the Iowa County Attorney's Association.     

Brad M. McIntyre
First Assistant County Attorney


Brad McIntyre joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in December 2014. Brad received his law degree from Drake University Law School in 2013. He received his bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Drake University in 2010. Brad worked in private practice before joining the Webster County Attorney’s Office and is a native of Fort Dodge.

Bailey K. Taylor
Assistant County Attorney

Bailey Taylor joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in July 2018. Bailey received her law degree from Drake University Law School in 2017. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy from Iowa State University in 2013. Bailey worked in private law practice in Algona, Iowa, prior to joining the Webster County Attorney's Office.

Doug Cook
Assistant County Attorney


Doug Cook joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in July 2023. He received his law degree from the University of Iowa, College of Law in 1991. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Iowa in 1988. Doug worked in the private law practice for 32 years, primarily in the areas of criminal law and juvenile law, prior to joining the Webster County Attorney's Office.

Justin Kroona
Assistant County Attorney

Justin Kroona joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in October, 2023.  He received his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul Minnesota in 2006.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in 2002.  Justin practiced in Minnesota for a few years before relocating to Webster City in 2009, where he worked in the private practice of law in Webster City and surrounding counties,  primarily in the areas of Criminal and Juvenile law.
