Individuals who feel that they have an immune compromised health condition, may now schedule a COVID-19 booster shot. 

Webster County Health Department (WCHD) will be providing third dose MODERNA shots for immune compromised individuals on Saturday, September 25th in conjunction with our flu drive-thru clinic.

Appointments are not necessary for individuals wanting just the flu vaccine but appointments are encouraged for those immune compromised wanting their third dose of Moderna.

All individuals requesting boosters must have received their second vaccine at least 28 days prior. 

Booster shots are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling 515-573-4107 or online at This is a drive-thru flu and Moderna third dose clinic only. First and second doses as well as third doses of Pfizer should call 515-573-4107 to schedule appointments.

Individuals are asked to bring their vaccine card showing first and second doses with them. If possible, residents are asked to print and complete the consent form prior to Saturday’s clinic. It is located at, click on COVID19. If that is not possible, forms will be available.

Individuals who received their first and second doses at a WCHD mass clinic but are not from the Webster County area do not have to come to Fort Dodge for a booster shot. Vaccines are widely available now and these booster shots can be done local to the individual.

Webster County Health Department will be offering COVID19 testing for individuals who are seeking travel clearance or for asymptomatic individuals.  Testing is available at WCHD Monday-Friday. Times will vary.

Travel clearance test are take home saliva test sent to our State Hygienic Lab with results emailed directly to patient typically within 48 hrs.

Rapid antigen testing typically does not meet the current qualifications for travelers so we recommend if you are traveling you read the requirements carefully for your destination site.

Individuals exposed to someone with COVID19 and wishing to be tested should wait 5 days from exposure prior to scheduling an appointment for testing. 

WCHD has same date antigen testing available for those exposed individuals who are asymptomatic.

REMINDER – this is for asymptomatic individuals.  Anyone experiencing symptoms needs to be seen by their primary care provider, CHC or ExpressCare
