General Election – Important Dates Wednesday, October 19 – Absentee Ballots will be mailed to those who have requested a ballot by mail. Monday, October 24 – Worry free postmark deadline for mail in voter registration. Monday, October 24 – Voter Pre-Registration deadline and deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail. Voters must use Election Day registration procedures to register to vote after this date. Saturday, November 5 – Absentee Precinct open 9am until 5pm for in person absentee voting. Monday, November 7 – Absentee Precinct open until 4:30pm, last day to vote in-person. Tuesday, November 8 – General Election Day Polls open 7am until 8pm at Election Day Precinct Locations. Absentee Ballots must be delivered to Auditor's Office by 8pm to be considered on time to be counted. |

In Person Absentee Voting In-Person Absentee Voting will be available at the Webster County Courthouse, in the Conference Room on the 1st floor, located at 701 Central Ave., Fort Dodge. In-Person Absentee Voting is open October 19th through November 7th from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. |

Request Absentee Ballot You may request an absentee ballot be mailed to you. In order to vote absentee by mail you must complete a request form. You may contact the Auditor's office to request that a form be sent to you or print off a form and mail it in. To be sent an absentee ballot by mail, the Auditor's Office must receive your Absentee Ballot Request form by 5pm on Monday, October 24, 2022. |
