City/School Election – Important Dates Wednesday, October 18 – Absentee Ballots will be mailed to those who have requested a ballot by mail. Monday, October 23 – Worry free postmark deadline for mail in voter registration. Monday, October 23 – Voter Pre-Registration deadline and deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail. Voters must use Election Day registration procedures to register to vote after this date. Monday, November 6 – Absentee Precinct open until 4:30pm, last day to vote absentee in-person. Tuesday, November 7 – ELECTION DAY! Polls open 7am until 8pm at Election Day Precinct Locations. Absentee Ballots must be delivered to Auditor's Office by 8pm to be considered on time to be counted. |

In Person Absentee Voting In-Person Absentee Voting will be available at the Webster County Courthouse, in the Auditor's Office, located at 701 Central Ave., Fort Dodge. In-Person Absentee Voting is open October 18th through November 6th from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. |

Request Absentee Ballot You may request an absentee ballot be mailed to you. In order to vote absentee by mail you must complete a request form. You may contact the Auditor's office to request that a form be sent to you or print off a form and mail it in. To be sent an absentee ballot by mail, the Auditor's Office must receive your Absentee Ballot Request form by 5pm on Monday, October 23, 2023. |
