The Board of Supervisor met in Session on the above date with the following members present: Motl, Condon, Dencklau, Nolting and Lizer.
Honorable Judge Mark Cady conducted the swearing into office of the following elected officials taking office January 1, 2007: Kim Motl and Keith Dencklau County Supervisors; Timothy Schott, County Attorney; Judy Cosgrove, County Recorder and Janice Horton, County Treasurer.
County Auditor called meeting to order.
Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to appoint Greg Nolting, Temporary Chair. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to appoint Greg Nolting, Chairperson for Year 2007. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to appoint Joel Lizer, Vice-Chairperson for Year 2007. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve minutes of December 26, 2006 regular meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to authorize Auditor to issue warrants for Year 2007 when Board is not in session for the following named purposes: freight, express, postage, utilities, salaries and payroll where such compensation shall have been previously fixed by the Board upon Certificate of the officer or foreman under whom such compensation shall have been earned. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve The Messenger, Dayton Review and Gowrie News as the Official Newspapers of Webster County for Year 2007. Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to approve salary adjustment of Cori Kuhn, to $46,923.00, effective January 3, 2007, per recommendation of County Attorney. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Molt to receive and place on file resignation of Ronald McCutchen, Sr. as Correctional Officer, effective January 31, 2007. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Motl, seconded by Lizer to approve and authorize Chair to sign utility permit application from Xenia Rural Water District to directional bore under 380th Street approximately 25 feet west of entrance to 3397 380th Street between Sections 24 and 25, Hardin Township to install 2½ inch water main. Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to receive and place on file salary increase for Deputy Mike Kenyon to $37,379.78 effective February 26, 2007 per recommendation of Webster County Sheriff. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Condon, seconded by Dencklau to approve employment of Katie Kalkwarf , Civil Clerk, at the rate of $8.54 per hour, effective February 5, 2007 per recommendation of the Webster County Sheriff. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Dencklau, seconded by Motl to approve and authorize Chair to sign endorsement for regional Surface Transportation Funding Application on Route P59 between US Highway 20 and Route D20 in FY 2011. (Copy on file in Engineer’s office). Motion carried unanimously.
