Developmental Screening

Program Information:

Developmental Screenings are an important tool that can help indentify problems in the development of your child. Trained staff do development screenings by asking a series of questions that will assess the child.  At the end of the screening the questions are scored depending on the answers.  If the child scores at a certain level they may be referred to AEA (Early Access) for additional developmental evaluations. The child will not be referred to AEA without parent/guardian permission.

A child can be screened/rescreened at different times between the ages of 2 months - 3 years. The parents/guardian will be provided with milestone activity sheets specific for their age of items they can work on with their children. Any child can be screened regardless of income.
