Dust Control Policies

DUST CONTROL NOTICE TO WEBSTER COUNTY RURAL RESIDENTS

Webster County will not guarantee the effectiveness of the dust control treatment.  Any complaints concerning the quality will be handled between the resident and the contractor that they have selected.

If in the County's opinion, sufficient surface deterioration has developed as to becoming a liability to the traveling public, or, if at any time , the road condition becomes such that the County determines hat maintenance is required, the County will perform the necessary maintenance.  The County at no time will be responsible for the cost of re-treatment.  The County will blade all spots in preparation for the second application regardless of when the first application was completed.

Flags delineating the limits of dust control must be in place by the 2nd Friday in  May and must be visible until October 1st.  This will inform the blade operator of the location for the treated surfaces.  Failure to keep the flogs visible may result in treated areas being bladed.

Residents are asked to contact the contractor of their choice no later than the end of April.   Flags can be obtained at the Webster County Engineers office.
