CDC has updated recommendations to allow certain immunocompromised
individuals and people over the age of 50 to receive a 2nd boost dose.
Individuals who received an initial booster dose at least 4 months
ago are eligible for another mRNA booster to increase their
protection against severe disease from COVID-19.
Webster County Health Department will be administering Covid 19 vaccine on
Wednesday April 6th 9:00 am – 12:00pm
Friday April 8th 9:00 am - 4:00pm
at our office 723 1st Ave South, Fort Dodge IA.

CDC updated isolation and exposure guidance. This guidance is what public health departments use when contacting positive cases and when answering questions from the public. This updated guidance is as follows:
Positive COVID case recommendations:
- Stay home for 5 days.
- If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
- Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
- Wear a mask around others for 10 days.
- Test on day 5, if possible.
- If you develop symptoms get a test and stay home
COVID exposure: if you are unvaccinated or completed your primary 2 dose series more than 6 months ago (2 months for J&J) recommendations:
- Stay home for 5 days. After that continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
- If you can’t quarantine you must wear a mask for 10 days.
- Test on day 5 if possible.
- If you develop symptoms get a test and stay home.
